The exhibition Game o quê? see more
focused the cultural phenomenon of computer games from an innovative point of view that analyses the evolution of this language and shows that, besides composing playful environment, the technology of the games can be directed to many purposes like artistic installations, virtual communities, historical reproductions and, mainly, educational products. |

Interatividades see more
The proposal of the event Interatividades – Ciclo Arte, Ciência e Tecnologia was to difuse researches that explore the intersections between four subjects: art and biology, art and mathematic, art and physic; and art and engineering of materials. The cycle was presented in lectures pronounced by artists, scientists and technologists concerned with the possible convergences between the areas and the universe of the art. |

Transmídia see more
O Rumos Itaú Cultural – Transmídia, shows the relations between the many artistic expression and the new technologies. The program privileges projects that deal with immersive environments, biological art, telematic art, computer as media, artificial intelligence, multimedia shows and interactive installations, the aim was to detect indications of the incorporation of these new languages in the artistic production. |

Emoção Art.ficial Biennial (Art.ficial Emotion Biennial) see more
In October 2002, Itaulab held the first Brazilian Media Art Biennial, an exhibition of art and technology coined "Emoção Art.ficial" (Art.ficial Emotion). Renowned media centres from all over the world - such as ZKM (Germany), V2_Lab (Holland), Ars Electronica Futurelab (Austria), Experimenta Media Arts (Australia) and IAMAS (Japan) - were invited to exhibit their most representative works. A total of 39 works were developed based on different media, such as software, games, robots, 3D videos and electronic sensors. |

Emoção Art.ficial Symposium (Art.ficial Emotion Symposium) see more
The International Emoção Art.ficial Symposium was held in August 2002, gathering representatives from 14 media centres, from a total of 11 countries. The themes of the 6 panel events and the 3 workshops involved discussions about media art, high tech productions and the bringing together of various media. |

Invenção (Invention) see more
Invenção took place from the 25th to the 29th of August 1999. It was an event aimed at all those who work at the creative intersection of arts, sciences and technology. It was a forum that encouraged cooperation and cross-disciplinary development of innovative ideas, as well as strategies for life in the next millennium. It was a joint project carried out by Itaú Cultural, Isea and Caiia-Star. |

Arte e Tecnologia (Art and Technology) see more
From September to October 1997, the new media nucleus held exhibitions, discussions, workshops and shows that discussed art and technology in Brazil. The event saw a resumption of the discussion about the use of technological resources and the outcome of medical or industrial research in artistic production. |
