Abstract:

What does it mean designing collaboration in the interconnected dimension of permanent and digital networks? How we can conceive contemporary artistic collaboration?
In the digital domain of interconnectivity collaborative processes poietically deal with a performative matter composed both of "matter" and "relations", with processes-material that makes processes of computer science treatment and human processes carry on each other and intertwine. Interactors meet and relations come about on a philosophical horizon between 0 and 1, in a place that is at the same time physically distribuited and jointly connected. We aren't dealing with telepresence, but with a relational place. Where is collaboration?

Designing collaboration means designing the conditions for the apparition of that place, metadesigning the place. Rather than metaphors, we must design process oriented. As many procesess are involved and intertwined, as more interface acts as a complex operator that raises creative virtuality, moving us in the heart of collaborative creation or in the indeterminate event of being as creation.
