 Heuristic Objects as instances in the Didactic of Design

Abstract:

 The proposal has as a goal to expose a series of "Experimental Objects" that we have developed since 1972 at different Schools of Design in our country and at the Scenographic Design Institute of Buenos Aires, as instance of the didactic of visual- objectual and virtual design. Such objects are: Epsilon Object, of "pure invention"; Cero Image, as a first step in scenification of a text; Naive Image, a second step; Syntaxis, as a first visualisation of an argument; Carcass, an habitational intuition; Heraldic Image, codification and morphological repertory; Betha Object, corporisation- at natural scale- of an habitational situation. Under a proposal of systematization of the gradation of "cultural objects" as symbolic forms ( E. Cassirer), we have studied the following classes: Alpha Objects of pragmatic, concrete function; Betha Objects, of habitability; Gamma Objects, of esthetic expression; Delta Objects, of code and communication precisely; Epsilon Objects, for heuristic experimentation; Phi Objects, global entities; Omega Objects, natural ( biological...) entities. The exposition and explanation of the didactic series shall be accompanied with slides. This practice of didactic and experimentation comes from our first studies and proposal in 1960.
