A movie theater with pulsating fractal images generated in real time by means of the mechanism that controls the iris opening in cameras.

This is the work entitled Auto-Iris, formed by three projectors, three video cameras and three pan (abbreviation of panoramic) and rotation control systems. It makes use of architectural scale, light, video feedback and fractal rhythm to inundate the public’s senses.

Immersed within this environment, visitors follow the physical manifestations of mechanical irises that react to the variations in light and image, and to the presence of the observers. By choreographing the artificial vision’s mechanism, the project involves visitors in alternative spatial dimensions that defy comprehension.
