VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES AND STUDIO WORKSHOP TO LEARN MORE ABOUT GERALDO DE BARROS

With the purpose of outlining a panorama of the production of this diverse artist, the Itaú Cultural Education and Relationship Center created a monthly schedule to present his performance in the field of concrete art, photography, pop art, furniture and design. Check out the schedule

Virtual experience:  Photography in Geraldo de Barros
This is an educational service project by Itaú Cultural provided on online platforms and aimed at all audiences and institutions. During these meetings, the institution's educators invite the public to learn more about artists and works, proposing conversations, dynamics or interactive activities on the topics covered.

In  Photography in Geraldo de Barros  the educators approach Geraldo's artistic processes in the field of photography, inviting the public to imagine and exercise the artist's poetics.

Photo Studio Lab: Playing with photos 
Free workshop  is the name given to the activities that aim at exercising manual practices that stimulate creativity and artistic making. The proposals are inspired by the organization's exhibitions.

In this activity, the Itaú Cultural educators teach how to create with photographs in three different workshops inspired by the Geraldo de Barros exhibition. In August, there will be six meetings on how to innovate and have fun with photos that the public can find or take at home. Lasting approximately 75 minutes, free for all ages, limited to 25 people, as follows:

Flag Book: teaches how to transform a photograph into a sculpture, based on the construction of a flag book notebook, using your photo of preference.

August 14 and 15 (Saturday and Sunday) at 2:00 pm BRT


FotoCola - collages and drawings on photos:
inspired by the series of photographs by Geraldo de Barros Photoforms and Leftovers, the public is invited to exercise creativity with randomly found photos, drawing and making collages to transform the original images into works of art.

August 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday) at 2:00 pm BRT


Using Mobile - Homemade Overlays:
inspired by Geraldo de Barros' photography, the institution's educators invite the public to explore homemade ways to produce a photo with image overlays.

Tickets: free 

Operating hours: Tuesdays through Sundays, from 12:00 to 6:00 pm BRT, by appointment via Sympla.

Scheduling: every Monday, from 9:00 am, continuing throughout the week, with scheduling subject to group capacity.  If the visitor wants to see a second exhibition on the same day, visitor must check for new appointment availability.

Visiting time: 50 minutes in each exhibition.  The limitation is due to the maximum time allowed in an area, which considers the cleaning periodicity protocols for each area.
