Educational

Educational actions include experiences and virtual tours, online meetings, and live streams

The Department of Education and Relationship of Itaú Cultural, which is part of the curatorship of Paulo Freire Occupancy, organized a series of online activities that brings the audience closer to his universe in a playful and creative way.

Different educational activities are part of the Paulo Freire Occupancy, during the entire period of the exhibit, on different dates from September to December. The Virtual Experience, a recurring action in Itaú Cultural's exhibits, promotes a meeting with the audience and educators in a video call environment, from September 18th to December 5th, whose theme is the life and work of Paulo Freire. In Virtual Tour: Inside the Exhibit, the educators present the exhibit to the audience on a video call. In this Occupancy, there will also be Reading and creation meetings: conversations about Paulo Freire and live streams with guests on the institution's Instagram. Understand each modality:

READING AND CREATION MEETINGS: CONVERSATIONS ABOUT PAULO FREIRE
Thursdays – October 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm
Aimed at trainees or working educators, this activity consists of four sequential meetings, with readings, conversations and a practical exercise based on Paulo Freire's literacy method, using words and images related to the context of those involved in the educational process, which he called “generative words and images”.  In each meeting, we present different aspects of Freire’s method, which is used in the literacy of young people and adults. Based on these presentations, the conversation turns to the participants' contexts – personal, cultural, and professional – to make them think about possibilities for educational activities; then, they create different records of these ideas. Via Zoom, 1h30 meetings. Registration is available for 30 participants, from September 20th to October 5th on www.itaucultural.org.br.

LIVE STREAMS WITH GUESTS ON INSTAGRAM
Starting in November, on dates to be defined
These live streams with guests are an educational program related to exhibits and occupancies held at Itaú Cultural. They propose meetings with an educator, who presents the exhibit/occupancy through their works and content, and a guest.
No registration required.
